About the Conference:
The "Building Bright Futures: Early Childhood Education for All" conference, hosted by the Reliance Foundation on April 13 & 14, 2024, in Mumbai, serves as a critical platform for advancing Early Childhood Development (ECD) globally. Recognizing the vital role of early education in shaping a child's brain development, with 80% occurring in the first three years, this conference aims to highlight the unparalleled value of investing in early learning. Drawing inspiration from the Heckman Curve, which illustrates the high returns on investment in pre-school programs, the conference underscores the long-term benefits of early childhood education on health, education, economic productivity, and societal well-being. In line with the SDG Target 4.2, the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, and India's National Education Policy 2020, the conference seeks to ensure universal access to quality early learning, emphasizing play and holistic development in a nurturing environment. The event will gather 150-200 attendees, including international and national experts, educators, policymakers, and the public, to share insights, strategies, and practices to enhance early childhood education globally and in the Indian context. Through collaborative discussions and knowledge exchange, the conference aims to foster innovation, support professional development, and elevate the importance of early learning in societal advancement.
