‘Burrow Tracker’ is a smartphone app that allows anyone in Europe and in other geographical areas to help maintain the functionality of our leveed rivers and prevent levee failures during flooding conditions. The app enables you to map burrows (dens or setts) dug by crested porcupines, badgers or other burrowing mammals along levees and surrounding areas. Any evidence of presence of burrowing mammals can be recorded and mapped. The goal of the app is to facilitate an effective management of rivers so that they can ensure flood conveyance and ecosystemic services for the benefit of citizens.
All application data and information was acquired from Apple's public RSS Feeds.
